while Lisa wrote also (https://www.facebook.com/DanyflorProject/posts/753460788085298 ) I sit and wonder when people complain about city hall giving an amount of money to Danyflor, don't they realize that stray population belongs to Timisoara, and so City hall needs to chip in?
And we come back to the starting point -talked of it (click) already- last year about this time, it was legal to put to sleep, the euthanasia law was to be applied, City hall firmly desired so and made a note of that, as far as they are concerned, all the dogs in the shelter previous to the new december contract, might have as well been dead. Of course, Mr Puscas, Danyflor, us, we assumed care of these dogs, food, medical, finding adoptions. So we are not talking now of the new dogs, but of the dogs already there.
Of course, as animal loving people, we decided to help all dogs, and I sincerely wonder do they know what they are talking about, do they have any idea how much money was put into making this a 5* shelter? how much money is needed to keep the conditions remain 5* and to take dogs in anyhow? City hall should pay for the new dogs, that is for sure. You might not know but volunteers don't crowd up at the gate, so cleaners are paid, electricity is paid, water, trash disposal, poo disposal and many many things, food, medicine and yes food and medicine was donated also, but some people try very hard to slander and at some point, who knows!! maybe they will succeed and it won't come help with that...
So to sum up: sanitary, veterinary (medical treatments), utilities: electricity, trash disposal; hired help (cleaners, vets)) and food as our dogs don't live on air, as our dogs sometimes need medical care and at such an amount of dogs one vet employed is not enough. Well, I could go on but i think you realize, expenses exist so, for the people arguing we raise help to spay, shame on you! spaying is the only normal solution to handle stray population.

that's not so much getting a month now. It's just under 22.000 euros a month according to my calculations.
3543429.96 divided by 3 years is 1181143.32 a year which divided by the 12 months of the year would be 98428.61 a month. That's 21864.28 a month unless I'm doing something wrong.
Lets say a round number of 22 thousand euros a month. That's not nearly enough to spay and neuter all the dogs, and keep in mind the other expenses of course.
I also need to mention something else too. As you may well know, in november we had a tragedy, a devastating fire, we also need to rebuild the clinic and once we do this, we considered doing it even better than it was, the quarantine, the post operation, the surgery room, so expenses are many.
I don't understand why, people who can not or would not chip in, mind others that do...

One more time? 22000 euros per month to do what exactly?
water/electricity/food for dogs/medicine and treatments and vaccines/two vets/ trash and poop disposal/straw bedding/caretakers (feeders, cleaners)/hired people to bring dogs to shelter/cars (also put in gas, technical revisions, winter tires, insurance fees, everything a car would need) and as any ltd or ngo or any other legal entity requires by law, please add an accountant. Also add a person hired to fix things, a broken kennel fence, any kind of upredicted technical necessity.
I also need to mention something else too. As you may well know, in november we had a tragedy, a devastating fire, we also need to rebuild the clinic and once we do this, we considered doing it even better than it was, the quarantine, the post operation, the surgery room, so expenses are many.

Here http://the-dnf-project.blogspot.ro/2014/12/spay-is-way.html is our spay project explained.
I think why neuter and spaying is the only normal. efficient and moral way to handle stray population needs no explaining.
On a country level, from january 2015 it is also a must to spay your pets, to prevent uncontrolled breeding, either with strays who will give birth on the street or in house but leading to abandon, also on the street, of unplanned for puppies.
Why spay? How many puppies do you think we can take in? :(
this one broke our hearts... https://www.facebook.com/claudia.capriccio.foto/media_set?set=a.771008066312498.1073742138.100002099365292&type=3
and we already have many, look:
Lisa explained maybe more to the point, if you didn't yet follow the link I mentioned just as I started to type, here is what she said:
